  1. Ensure all engine components are connected. Reassemble and reconnect components as necessary. If another DTC was previously displayed but not repaired, return to TEST TC-1A and follow path specified by other DTC. If PCM has been changed, connect scan tool to data link connector. Erase DTCs. Using scan tool, reset all values with adaptive memory. Disconnect scan tool.
  2. Ensure no other DTCs remain. Turn A/C and blower on (if equipped). Drive vehicle for at least 5 minutes and attain a speed of at least 40 MPH. Ensure transmission shifts through all gears. Complete road test. Turn ignition off. Start engine and allow it to idle for at least 2 minutes. Turn ignition off. Reconnect scan tool and check for DTCs.
  3. If repaired DTC has reset, repair is not complete. Check if any Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) apply and return to TEST TC-1A as necessary. If another DTC has set, return to TEST TC-1A and follow path specified by other DTC. If no DTCs have set, repair is complete.
