Test NTC-8A - Performing No DTC Mechanical Test

At this point in diagnostic test procedure, all engine control systems have been determined to be operating as designed and not causing a driveability problem. Check following additional items should be checked for possible causes.

• Check if any Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) apply to vehicle.
• Check for fuel injection pump malfunction.
• Check fuel injection pump timing.
• Check for air in fuel system.
• Check for restricted or damaged fuel injector nozzle.
• Check for fuel contamination.
• Check for restricted fuel filter.
• Check for leaking or damaged fuel lines.
• Check for empty fuel tank and blocked tank vent.
• Check for clogged air filter.
• Check for blocked or leaking intercooler.
• Check engine compression.
• Check for misadjusted low idle.
• Check for throttle lever not reaching full throttle position.
