Powertrain Control Module (PCM) controls radiator fan relay(s). A low speed fan relay and a high speed fan relay are used. Fan relays are is located in power distribution center.
Radiator fan relay(s) are energized during the following conditions:
- When A/C clutch is engaged.
- On models with dual speed fan, with A/C not engaged, PCM energizes low speed fan relay when coolant is 215°F (102°C) and off when coolant is 200°F (93°C). PCM energizes high speed fan relay when coolant temperature is greater than 230°F (110°C) and switches back to low speed at 219°F (104°C).
