Fuel Pressure Regulator

Fuel pressure regulator is a mechanical device, used to maintain a constant pressure across fuel injector tip. Manifold vacuum is used to control fuel pressure more precisely. Spring and rubber diaphragm will move from an open to closed position keeping fuel pressure constant. Fuel pressure regulator is located on fuel rail, downstream of fuel injectors. Excess fuel is routed back to fuel tank with a fuel return line.
