Test NTC-16A - Checking Intake Air Temperature System

- Ensure engine is off and ignition is on. Using scan tool, read Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor temperature. Record reading. Turn ignition off. Go to next step.NOTE: Perform following step within 5 minutes of preceding step.
- Remove IAT sensor. Using a temperature probe, measure temperature in IAT sensor opening. Record reading. If temperature readings are not within 10°F (-12°C) of each other, replace IAT sensor. Perform TEST VER-2. If temperature readings are within 10°F (-12°C) of each other, reinstall IAT sensor. Test is complete.
