Test TC-26A - Injector #3 Control Circuit

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect injector No. 3 connector. Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance between injector terminals. If resistance is not 10-16 ohms, replace injector. Perform TEST VER-2. If resistance is 10-16 ohms, turn ignition on.
  2. Using scan tool, actuate injector No. 3. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on injector No. 3 connector, Auto Shutdown (ASD) output circuit (Dark Green/Orange wire). If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open Dark Green/Orange wire or Dark Green/Black wire. Perform TEST VER-2. If voltage is more than 10 volts, turn ignition off.
  3. Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector. Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance of injector No. 3 driver circuit (Yellow/White wire) between injector connector (harness side) and PCM connector terminal No. 14. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Yellow/White wire. Perform TEST VER-2.
  4. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, check resistance of PCM terminal No. 14 (Yellow/White wire) using scan tool in ohmmeter mode. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Yellow/White wire. Perform TEST VER-2. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace PCM. Perform TEST VER-2.
