Test TC-1A - Checking For DTCS

- Battery must be fully charged before proceeding. Attempt to start engine. If engine will not start, crank engine for at least 10 seconds. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Record scan tool Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
- If scan tool has a blank screen or displays RAM TEST FAILURE, CARTRIDGE ERROR, KEY PAD TEST FAILURE, LOW BATTERY or HIGH BATTERY, scan tool failure is indicated. To diagnose and correct, see VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS CHRYSLER CORP. BODY CONTROL COMPUTER

- If scan tool displays NO RESPONSE, go to TEST NS-6A. If DTCs are displayed, see SCAN TOOL DTCS table and perform appropriate test(s). If no DTCs are displayed and a driveability problem is present, go to TEST NTC-1A. If no DTCs are displayed and a no-start problem is present, go to TEST NS-1A.
