CAUTION:
ALWAYS relieve pressure before disconnecting any fuel injection-related components. DO NOT allow fuel to contact engine or electrical components.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Slowly open fuel tank cap to release pressure in tank. Remove fuel rail pressure test port cap. Obtain fuel pressure gauge/hose assembly from Fuel Pressure Gauge Set (5069).
- Place open end of fuel pressure gauge/hose assembly in an approved gasoline container. Connect other end of pressure gauge/hose assembly to test port. As fuel pressure gauge/hose is tightened onto fuel rail pressure test port, fuel pressure will bleed-off into container.
WARNING:
Always relieve fuel pressure before disconnecting any fuel injection-related component. DO NOT allow fuel to contact engine or electrical components.
