Test NTC-10B - Checking Idle Air Control Motor

Turn ignition off. Disconnect and inspect Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector. Repair as necessary. Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance of each IAC motor circuit between PCM connector and IAC motor connector. See CHECKING IAC MOTOR CIRCUITS FOR RESISTANCE table blow.

CHECKING IAC MOTOR CIRCUITS FOR RESISTANCE

PCM Connector	IAC Motor Connector
Terminal No. 40	IAC No. 1 Driver (Brown/White Wire)
Terminal No. 60	IAC No. 2 Driver (Yellow/Black Wire)
Terminal No. 39	IAC No. 3 Driver (Gray/Red Wire)
Terminal No. 59	IAC No. 4 Driver (Violet/Black Wire)

If resistance is more than 5 ohms on any circuit, repair open in suspected wire. Perform TEST VER-2. If resistance is less than 5 ohms on all circuits, replace PCM. Perform TEST VER-2.
