WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 Plymouth Voyager, 1995 Plymouth Grand Voyager, 1995 Dodge Grand Caravan, and 1995 Dodge Caravan. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
A fuel injector control circuit is shorted to ground causing engine to flood.
- Using scan tool, read DTCs. If any Fuel Injector (FI) DTCs are present, go to TEST TC-37A and perform appropriate test. If no injector DTCs are present, go to next step.
- Disconnect and inspect PCM connector. Repair as necessary. Perform TEST VER-1. If connector is okay, disconnect each FI connector. Go to next step.
- Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, test each FI driver circuit for short to ground. See FUEL INJECTOR CONNECTOR TERMINAL IDENTIFICATION table below. If any driver circuit is shorted to ground, repair appropriate circuit. Perform TEST VER-1. If no driver circuits are shorted to ground, replace PCM. Perform TEST VER-1.
