Test NTC-9A - Checking Solenoid Operations

- Using scan tool, actuate evaporative purge solenoid. While touching top of evaporative purge solenoid, feel for operation. If evaporative purge solenoid does not operate, replace evaporative purge solenoid. Perform TEST VER-2.
- If evaporative purge solenoid operates and vehicle is not equipped with an EGR valve, evaporative purge solenoid is operating normally. Test is complete. If evaporative purge solenoid operates and vehicle is equipped with an EGR valve, actuate EGR solenoid.
- While touching top of EGR solenoid, feel for operation. If EGR solenoid does not operate, replace EGR solenoid. Perform TEST VER-2. If EGR solenoid operates, test is complete.
