Repairing Broken Or Cut Wires

  1. If repairing an existing splice, go to step 2). Slide Heat Shrink Tubing (4419644) over one end of damaged wire. Twist wires together. Apply 60/40 rosin core solder or equivalent. DO NOT use acid flux or acid core solder. Slide heat shrink tube over splice and apply heat until tubing shrinks sufficiently and sealant flows out.
  2. If repairing existing splice, follow procedure in step 1), except replace heat shrink tubing application with 3 wraps of Tape (MSCH 62).
