Washer Inoperative Testing

  1. Turn ignition to RUN position and wiper switch to WASH position. Connect test light between White wire at washer pump connector C137 and ground. See Figure . If test light illuminates, go to step 2). If test light does not illuminate, check and repair open in White wire between washer pump connector C137 and fuse block.
  2. Connect test light between Pink and White wires at washer pump connector C137. If test light illuminates, replace washer pump. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 3).
  3. Connect a fused jumper wire from Pink wire at wiper control module to ground. If washer motor pumps, go to step 4). If washer motor fails to pump, check and repair open in Pink wire between washer pump connector C137 and wiper control module connector C224. See Figure .
  4. Connect a fused jumper wire from Pink wire at wiper switch connector C259 to ground. If washer motor pumps, go to step 5). If washer pump fails to pump, check and repair open in Pink wire between wiper control module and wiper switch.
  5. Connect a fused jumper from Black wire at wiper switch connector C259 to ground. If washer motor pumps, check and repair open in Black wire between wiper switch connector C259 and ground. If washer motor fails to pump, replace wiper switch.
