Starter Relay

  1. Starter relay is located on driver's side of engine compartment, near battery, in power distribution center. Remove starter relay. Replace relay if it does not test as follows:
    • There should be 70-80 ohms resistance between terminals No. 85 and 86. See Fig 1 .
    • There should be continuity between terminals No. 30 and 87A.
    • There should be no continuity between terminals No. 30 and 87.
    • Connect 12 volts across terminals No. 86 (+) and No. 85 (-). There should now be continuity between terminals No. 30 and 87.
