Intake Manifold Air Heater Relays

  1. Relays are located in engine compartment, below the left battery. See Fig 1 . Disconnect negative battery cables. Note location of wiring for reassembly reference. Disconnect all electrical connectors and cables from relays.
  2. Connect ohmmeter across large terminals of relay. Momentarily connect 12 volts across small terminals of relay. Relay should click and ohmmeter should indicate a closed circuit between the large terminals. If operation is not as specified, replace relay with bracket. Test the other relay. Reconnect all electrical connectors.
