Automatic Shutdown (ASD) Relay, Fuel Heater Relay & Fuel Shutdown Solenoid Relay

1) ASD relay is located on driver's side of engine compartment, in power distribution center, near battery. Fuel heater relay and fuel shutdown solenoid relay are located on engine compartment firewall, to right of brake booster.
2) Remove relay. Replace relay if it does not test as follows:
- Resistance between terminals No. 85 and 86 should be 70-80 ohms. See Fig 1 .
- There should be continuity between terminals No. 30 and 87A.
- There should be no continuity between terminals No. 30 and 87.
- Using 16-gauge jumper wires, connect 12 volts across terminals No. 85 (-) and No. 86 (+). There should be continuity between terminals No. 30 and 87.
- There should be no continuity between terminals No. 30 and 87A.
