Fuel Transfer Pump (Output Pressure)

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 Dodge Pickup and 1995 Dodge Cab & Chassis. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Install pressure gauge and "T" fitting in fuel line that fits between transfer pump and fuel filter/water separator. Start engine. If output pressure is less than 25 psi (1.75 kg/cm2 ), check for restricted fuel inlet line and worn eccentric on engine camshaft. If fuel inlet line and eccentric are okay, replace transfer pump.
