Transmission Temperature Sensor

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 Dodge Pickup and 1995 Dodge Cab & Chassis. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Transmission temperature sensor is located in transmission fluid cooler line, at left front of transmission case. Disconnect sensor electrical connector. Measure resistance between sensor terminals. If resistance is not within specification, replace sensor. See TRANSMISSION TEMPERATURE SENSOR SPECIFICATIONS table. If resistance of wires between PCM and sensor exceeds one ohm, repair wires.
