Crankshaft Position (Engine Speed) Sensor

Crankshaft position sensor is located on front timing gear cover, just above vibration damper. If problem exists in crankshaft position sensor, a diagnostic trouble code will set. See TESTS W/CODES - 5.9L DIESEL article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section.
