Intake Manifold Air Heater
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 Dodge Pickup and 1995 Dodge Cab & Chassis. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Disconnect negative battery cables. Remove rubber covers from cable connections at intake manifold air heater, located between air inlet housing and intake manifold cover.
- Measure resistance between each cable connection and ground (DO NOT use mounting stud on intake air heater as a ground). If there is any resistance, check for corroded or dirty electrical connections.
- If connections are okay, check for corroded connection on ground cable at rear of intake air heater. Disconnect cables from intake air heater. Isolate cables to prevent them from contacting other components. Check for continuity between ground and each cable terminal. If there is any continuity, replace intake air heater.
