Hub & Drum Assembly

  1. Remove axle shaft. See AXLE SHAFT . Remove lock nut retainer ring, key, and lock nut. Pull hub and drum assembly straight off axle housing.
  2. Thoroughly clean seal contact area. Apply a thin coat of bearing lubricant to contact surface on outside of axle tube. To install, reverse removal procedure. See WHEEL BEARINGS  for bearing adjustment procedure.
