Hub & Drum Assembly: Removal

Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel assembly. Remove axle shaft. See AXLE SHAFTS . Using Wheel Bearing Nut Wrench (J-2222-C), remove wheel bearing nut if equipped with rear disc brakes, or retaining ring if equipped with rear drum brakes. If equipped with rear disc brakes, remove lock tang. If equipped with rear disc brakes, remove key. On all rear axles, remove adjustment nut and washer. Remove hub and drum assembly.
