Rear Disc Rotor - 12" Full-Floating Axle: Removal

1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove brake caliper (DO NOT  disconnect brake hose). See DISC CALIPERS & PADS - DELCO FLOATING CALIPER  or DISC CALIPERS & PADS - BENDIX SLIDING CALIPER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove hub cap and gasket from hub. See Fig 1. Install Adapter (J-2619-01) in tapped hole on axle shaft flange.
2. Using slide hammer and adapter, remove axle shaft. Bend lock washer tab away from lock nut. Using Wheel Bearing Nut Wrench (J-25510), remove lock nut. Remove lock washer, adjusting nut and washer. Remove hub and rotor assembly.
