Front Disc Rotor - "V" Series: Removal

  1. Remove the brake caliper (DO NOT  disconnect brake hose). Refer to the appropriate DISC CALIPERS & PADS - DELCO FLOATING CALIPER  or DISC CALIPERS & PADS - BENDIX SLIDING CALIPER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove locking hub. See appropriate LOCKING HUBS - AUTOMATIC article in DRIVE AXLES.
  2. Using Wheel Bearing Nut Wrench (J-6893-D) on V15 and V25 models, or (J-26878-A) on V35 models, remove wheel bearing lock nut, ring and adjusting nut (note how hole in ring is aligned with pin on adjusting nut). Remove hub and rotor assembly.
