Wait Or Glow Plugs Light (6.2L Diesel)

Light will illuminate when ignition is turned on to indicate glow plugs are warming up the cylinder combustion area to ease starting. When light goes out, engine is ready to be started. During cranking or after starting, it is normal for light to cycle on and off a few times, indicating glow plugs are still operating to warm cylinder.
