Cluster Display Does Not Switch Between English & Metric (Astro & Safari)

  1. Check for inoperative cluster controls switch, wiring, or inoperative cluster. To do so, disconnect large 17-pin connector at cluster. Measure cluster control switch resistance between pin No. 2 and ground.
  2. Resistance should be zero (0) in one position, and open in the other. If switch does not respond as indicated, repair Light Blue wire between cluster and switch, the switch, or the Black wire from switch to ground.
  3. If switch and related wiring are okay, replace inoperative instrument cluster.
