Astro, "C", "K" & "S" Series & Safari

  1. Measure voltage across battery terminals. If battery is discharged, find and correct cause of discharged battery.
  2. Recharge battery. With key in "ON" position and battery terminals connected, observe voltmeter with battery charger in operation. The voltmeter should come up to at least 12 volts. If not, check for high resistance in voltmeter connections. Clean and tighten connections.
  3. If voltmeter reading is still low, apply 12 volts directly to positive terminal of voltmeter. If voltmeter does not respond accurately, it must be replaced.
