Oil Pan: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support vehicle.
3. Drain engine oil, then disconnect exhaust pipes from exhaust manifolds.
4. Disconnect engine struts from inspection cover, then remove inspection cover.
5. Disconnect starter motor and position aside.
6. Remove oil pan attaching bolts, nuts and reinforcements.
7. Remove oil pan and gasket.
8. Reverse procedure to install. Apply suitable sealant to front cover to block joints and to rear crankshaft seal to block joints.
