Automatic & Manual Locking Hub & Brake Rotor Assembly: Inspection
Wash all bearings in cleaning solvent, then check for cracked bearing cages and worn, chipped or pitted rollers. Wash out hub I.D. and inspect bearing races for cracks, scoring or looseness in hub. Replace components as needed.
NOTE:
Always replace bearings and races as matched sets. Install new grease seal whenever hub assembly is disassembled. All parts should be thoroughly lubricated for normal operation during assembly and installation with high speed grease.
CAUTION:
Lubrication MUST be applied to hub and bearing components to prevent deterioration before the unit is placed in service.
