Cleaning & Inspection
- Clean all metal parts in solvent. Inspect spool valve and spool valve bore in booster housing for corrosion, nicks, scoring or other damage. Discoloration of spool or bore, particularly in grooves, is not harmful.
- If spool valve or spool bore has nicks or scoring that can be felt with a fingernail, particularly on the lands, the entire booster should be replaced as an assembly.
- Inspect input rod, piston assembly, and piston bore for corrosion, nicks, scoring or other damage. Replace damaged parts.
