Cylinder Head: Removal

  1. Remove intake and exhaust manifolds. Remove A/C compressor and bracket (if equipped). Remove alternator. Remove valve covers.
  2. Loosen rocker arm nuts and rotate rocker arms to side. Remove push rods in sequence for reinstallation in original locations. Drain coolant from cylinder block. Remove cylinder heads.
