Timing Chain & Sprockets: Removal

Remove engine front cover as previously outlined. Crank engine over until timing marks on camshaft and crankshaft sprockets are aligned. Remove bolts securing camshaft sprocket to camshaft and pull off sprocket with timing chain. Camshaft sprocket is a light fit on camshaft. A light blow with a plastic hammer will dislodge sprocket.
