INTAKE & EXHAUST MANIFOLD (4.8L Engine): Removal

  1. Remove air cleaner, disconnect both throttle rods at bellcrank and remove throttle return spring. Disconnect fuel line, vacuum lines and choke cable (if equipped) at carburetor. Disconnect crankcase vent hose at rocker arm cover and remove vapor hose at canister.
  2. Disconnect exhaust pipe at flange and remove manifold attaching bolts and clamps. Remove intake and exhaust manifold as an assembly.
