Cleaning & Inspection
- Clean all metal parts in a suitable solvent. Inspect valve spool and valve spool bore in booster housing for corrosion, nicks, scoring or other damage. Discoloration of spool or bore, particularly in grooves, is not harmful.
- If valve spool or spool bore has nicks or scoring that can be felt with a fingernail, particularly on the lands, the entire booster should be replaced as an assembly.
- Inspect input rod, piston assembly, and piston bore for corrosion, nicks, scoring or other damage. Replace damaged parts.
