Electric Motor Circuit
The electric motor circuit cools the electric motor and the DC / DC converter (converts high voltage to low voltage to power the 12 volt system). Coolant flows through each component in series and is cooled by a radiator at the front of the vehicle.
The upper temperature limit for the electric motor circuit is 70 degrees C (158 degrees F). The individual components (internal temperature sensors) in the electric motor circuit request cooling based on the temperature and their usage.
