Fuel Tank Isolation Valve - Full Hybrid Electric Vehicle (FHEV): Removal

WARNING: Always disconnect the battery ground cable at the battery when working on an evaporative emission (EVAP) system or fuel-related component. Highly flammable mixtures may be present and may be ignited. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING .
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to: BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
    • Remove the fasteners.

      Torque

      : 2.5 Nm

    • Remove the fasteners.

      Torque

      : 2.5 Nm

    • Remove the pushpins.

  3. Disconnect the electrical connector and retainer.

  4. Disconnect the quick release coupling. Refer to: QUICK RELEASE COUPLING .

  5. Disconnect the quick release couplings. Refer to: QUICK RELEASE COUPLING .

  6. Remove the isolation valve.
