- Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The PCM monitors the position of the PDS (park detect switch) incorporated into the selector lever assembly and compares the reading to the TR position sensor.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition PCM P07BE:00 Transmission Park Position Sensor/Switch 'A' / 'B' Correlation: No Sub Type Information This DTC indicates the PCM has detected the PDS (park detect switch) is locked in Park but the TR position sensor is reporting a valid non-Park position. Possible Causes
- Selector lever cable adjustment
- PDS (park detect switch)
- AJ1 CHECK THE SELECTOR LEVER CABLE FOR ADJUSTMENT
- Check the selector lever cable for adjustment. REFER to: Selector Lever Cable Adjustment - 3.5L Duratec (202kW/275PS) .
Is the selector lever cable correctly adjusted?
Yes GO to AJ2 No Adjust the selector lever cable and retest for correct operation. REFER to: Selector Lever Cable Adjustment - 3.5L Duratec (202kW/275PS) . - AJ2 CHECK THE OPERATION OF THE PDS (PARK DETECT SWITCH)
Access the PCM and monitor the TRO_P_FPIDAccess the PCM and monitor the TRO_N_FPID
- Select NEUTRAL.
- Select PARK.
Do PID s TRO_N_F and TRO_P_F correlate with PDS (park detect switch) in selector lever '
