- Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The PCM stores the transmission identification (TRID) information in memory. The TRID information is located on the label on the side of the transmission.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition PCM P163F:00 Transmission ID Block Corrupted, Not Programmed: No Sub Type Information This DTC indicates the transmission identification is not programmed in the PCM calibration. Possible Causes
- Incorrect or corrupted PCM calibration.
- AB1 CHECK FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, program the PCM. REPROGRAM the original PCM with the As-Built data following scan tool instructions.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the PCM self-test.

Yes Update the PCM Calibration. CHECK OASIS for any applicable service articles: TSB, GSB (General service bulletin), SSM (Special service message) or FSA (Field service action). If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions. If no service articles address this concern,
