Inspection and Verification

Diagnostics in this Service Information assume a certain skill level and knowledge of Ford-specific diagnostic practices. REFER to: Diagnostic Methods . for information about these practices.

1. Verify the customer concern.
2. Check the battery condition and state of charge. REFER to: Battery - Electric .
3. Check for abnormal ignition-off current drain(s). REFER to: Battery Drain Check .
4. Inspect the following items:
   • Fusible links.
   • Verify high current BJB fuse 200A MEGA.
   • High current BJB for loose or corroded connections.
   • Wiring, terminals or connectors.

5. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding.
