Exhaust Manifold RH: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING - 3.5L DURATEC (202KW 275PS) 3.5L ECOBOOST (235KW 320PS)
- Disconnect the LH HO2S, catalyst monitor sensor and the wiring harness retainers.
- Disconnect the RH HO2S and catalyst monitor sensor and the wiring harness retainer.

- Remove the exhaust flange bolts and detach the exhaust hanger.
- Clean the catalytic converter-to-muffler sealing surfaces.
- Remove and discard the LH catalytic converter flange nuts.

- Remove and discard the RH catalytic converter flange nuts and position rearward.
- Clean the catalytic converter-to-exhaust manifold sealing surfaces.
- Remove the EGR inlet tube. Refer to: Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Inlet Tube .
- Remove the bolts and the exhaust manifold heat shield.

- Remove the nuts and the exhaust manifold.
- Discard the nuts.

- Remove and discard the exhaust manifold gasket.
- Remove and discard the exhaust manifold studs.
- Clean the cylinder head-to-exhaust manifold sealing surfaces.
- Clean and inspect the exhaust manifold. Refer to: Exhaust Manifold Cleaning and Inspection .
