Transmission Fluid Heater Coolant Control Valve: Removal

  1. WARNING: When releasing the cooling system pressure, cover the coolant expansion tank cap with a thick cloth.

    Loosen the pressure relief cap.

  2. Remove the retainers and the underbodyshield.

    Torque: 5 Nm

  3. Disconnect the coolant control valve electrical connector.

  4. Clamp off the coolant control valve hoses. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp(s)

  5. Release the clamps and disconnect the coolant hoses. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

  6. Remove the bolt and the transmission fluid heater coolant control valve.

    Torque: 10 Nm
