Lower Arm: Installation

  1. NOTE: Tighten the suspension bushing fasteners with the suspension loaded or with the weight of the vehicle resting on the wheels and tires, otherwise incorrect clamp load and bushing damage may occur.

    1. Install the lower control arm and tighten the lower control arm rearward bolt.

      Torque: Stage 1: 250 Nm Stage 2: 180deg.

    2. NOTE: Only tighten the bolt finger tight at this stage.

      Install the lower control arm forward bolt.

  2. NOTE: Use the hex-holding feature to prevent the lower ball joint stud from turning while installing the lower ball joint nut.

    Connect the lower control arm and install the new lower ball joint nut.

    Torque: 215 Nm

  3. Position a jackstand under the lower arm and raise the suspension to curb height.Use the General Equipment: Vehicle/Axle Stands

  4. NOTE: Tighten the suspension bushing fasteners with the suspension loaded or with the weight of the vehicle resting on the wheels and tires, otherwise incorrect clamp load and bushing damage may occur.

    Tighten the lower control arm forward bolt.

    Torque: 375 Nm

  5. Position the lower load path bar and install the new lower load path bar retainers.

    Torque: 1:: 63 Nm 2:: 25 Nm

  6. Install the front lower air deflector.

    Torque: 1:: 5 Nm 2:: 4.8 Nm

  7. Install the wheel and tire. Refer to: Wheel and Tire . Refer to: Wheel and Tire - Vehicles With: Dual Rear Wheels .
  8. Check and if necessary, adjust front toe. Refer to: Front Toe Adjustment .
