Instrument Panel Upper Section - Vehicles With: 15.5 Inch Center Display Screen: Removal

All vehicles RH side 

1. Remove both A-pillar trim panels. Refer to: A-Pillar Trim Panel .
2. Release the clips and remove the instrument panel defroster panel.
   • Disconnect the electrical connector.

3. Remove the floor console. Refer to: Floor Console .
4. Remove the information and entertainment display unit fastener cover.
   1. Release the clips.Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
   2. If equipped.

5. Remove the bolts.

   Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)

6. Release the clips and remove the center display screen and bracket as an assembly.

7. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the center display screen and bracket as an assembly.

8. Release the clips, position the start/stop switch bezel aside.
   • disconnect the electrical connector and remove the start/stop switch bezel.

9. Release the clips, separate the trim pin, and remove the RH instrument panel trim panel.Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

10. Remove the bolts.

    Torque: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)

11. Release the cilps and remove the lower centerstack trim panel.
    • Disconnect the electrical connectors.

12. Release the clips and remove the RH instrument panel end cap.Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

13. Remove the bolts, release the retainers and remove the RH instrument panel finish panel.Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

    Torque: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)

14. Remove the bolts and the RH register.

    Torque: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)

16. Remove the bolts, release the retainers and remove the storage bin assembly.Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

    Torque: 27 lb.in (3.0 Nm)

17. 1. Remove the bolts.

       Torque: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)

    2. Remove the bolts.

       Torque: 81 lb.in (9.2 Nm)

18. Remove the bolts and release the RH instrument panel upper section retainers by pulling up and inward.

    Torque: 24 lb.in (2.7 Nm)

19. Remove the RH instrument panel upper section by lifting upward and inward.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.

23. Remove the bolts and the LH register.

    Torque: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)

24. Release the retainers and the LH center register upper trim panel.Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

25. Remove the bolts and the LH center register.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.

      Torque: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)

26. Remove the IPC. Refer to: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .
27. Remove the instrument panel center speaker. Refer to: Instrument Panel Center Speaker - Vehicles With: 8 Inch Center Display Screen/12 Inch Center Display Screen .
28. Remove the sunload sensor. Refer to: Sunload Sensor .
29. Remove the bolts and release the LH instrument panel upper section retainers by pulling up and inward.

    Torque: 24 lb.in (2.7 Nm)
