Muffler and Tailpipe - Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV): Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting (100-02 Jacking and Lifting - 2.5L Duratec - Hybrid (121kW/164PS) (BG)).
1. Remove and discard the clamp.
2. Remove the isolator bracket studs and the muffler and tailpipe assembly.

- NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
  
  NOTE: Left-hand side shown, right-hand side is similar.
  
  Remove the isolator bracket studs.
  
  Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
- Detach the isolator and remove the bracket.
