Muffler and Tailpipe - Full Hybrid Electric Vehicle (FHEV): Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    1. Position the muffler and tailpipe assembly in the vehicle and install the isolator bracket studs.

      Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

    2. NOTE: Make sure that the clamp is installed to the same orientation as when removed.
      NOTE: Make sure that new clamp is installed.

      Install the new clamp.

      Torque: 17 lb.ft (23 Nm)

  3. Check the exhaust system for leaks.
  4. Check and fill the coolant to the maximum level. Refer to: ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, VACUUM FILLING AND BLEEDING
