Cooler Bypass Valve: Removal

NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed with clean blanking caps.

NOTE: Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
Remove the retainers and the underbody shield.

Install hose clamp remover/installer. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

- Release the clamps and detach the hoses.
- Remove the bolts and the bypass valve.
