Selector Lever Cable Bushing - 6-Speed Automatic Transmission - 6F35: Removal
- Apply the parking brake, chock wheels to make sure vehicle does not roll.
- Position the selector lever in D.
- Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to: Air Cleaner .
- Disconnect the selector lever cable from the transmission manual lever.
- Remove the selector lever cable retaining clip bolt.
- Release the selector lever clip and detach the selector lever cable from the selector lever cable bracket.

NOTE: 2013 model year vehicles only. The selector lever cable bushing is taller than the replacement bushing.
Using a 15mm shallow socket on the bottom of the selector lever cable end, press the bushing out with straight jaw adjustable pliers.

NOTE: 2014-2020 model year vehicles only.
Using a 5mm shallow socket on top of the bushing and a 15mm shallow socket on the bottom of the selector lever cable end, press the bushing out with straight jaw adjustable pliers.
- Visually check the selector lever cable end for any signs of damage and replace if necessary.
