Pinpoint Test J: Shift Quality - Multiple Gears Affected

  1. Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    • Only gears 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 available 

      • Check the A clutch for an always applied condition. REFER to: A Clutch .

    • Only gears R, 6, 7, 8, available 

      • Check the A clutch for a does not apply condition. REFER to: A Clutch .

    • Only gears R, 4, 6 available 

      • Check the B clutch for an always applied condition. REFER to: B Clutch .

    • Only gears 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8 available 

      • Check the B clutch for a does not apply condition. REFER to: B Clutch .

    • Only gears 3, 7 available 

      • Check the C clutch for an always applied condition. REFER to: C Clutch .

    • Only gears R, 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8 available 

      • Check the C clutch for a does not apply condition. REFER to: C Clutch .

    • Only gears R, 1 available 

    • Only gears 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 available 

    • Only gears 5, 6, 7, 8 available 

      • Check the E clutch for an always applied condition. REFER to: E Clutch .

    • Only gears R, 1, 2, 3, 4 available 

      • Check the E clutch for a does not apply condition. REFER to: E Clutch .

    • Only gears 2, 8 available 

      • Check the F clutch for an always applied condition. REFER to: F Clutch .

    • Only gears R, 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 available 

      • Check the F clutch for a does not apply condition. REFER to: F Clutch .

    • No engine braking in M1 

    Possible Sources 

    • Clutch stuck on
    • Clutch stuck off
