Pinpoint Test T: DTC P0741
- Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The PCM monitors clutch applications. It sets a DTC if it detects a non-electrical fault in the TCC.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition PCM P0741:00 Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Circuit Performance/Stuck Off: No Sub Type Information The PCM detected TCC slip greater than 80 rpm for 1 second on 3 different TCC lock ups. The logic disabled TCC lock for the remainder of the current key cycle the fault occurred in. The DTC self clears after 40 warm up cycles have been completed without detecting the fault again. Possible Sources
- Non-electrical TCC solenoid stuck off
- TCC mechanical failure
- Seal faults causing loss of pressure
- TCC regulator control valve stuck in TCC release position
- T1 CHECK FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the DTC for the PCM.
- Road test the vehicle.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the PCM self-test.
Is DTC P0741 present in the PCM?
Yes REFER to: Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) . No The fault is not present at this time and may be intermittent.
