Driver Seatbelt Retractor: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Position the front seat in the full forward position.

Depower the SRS. Refer to: Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering .
Position aside the front door weatherstrip, release the clips and remove the front door scuffplate trim panel.

Van
Position aside the weatherstrip, remove the safety belt anchor bolt, release the clips and remove the lower B-pillar trim panel.
Torque

: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

Wagon
1. Remove the safety belt anchor bolt and position the safety belt aside.
  Torque
  
  : 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
2. Position aside the rear door weatherstrip and the rear door scuff plate trim panel.
3. Release the clips, slide up and remove the lower B-pillar trim panel.

All vehicles
Remove and discard the D-ring bolt cover, remove the D-ring bolt and position the safety belt aside.
Torque

: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

Disconnect the electrical connector, remove the bolt and the driver safety belt retractor.
Torque

: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
